The Joint Advisory Planning Harbour Commission is a voluntary advisory Commission that makes recommendations to Council on matters pertaining to land use, community planning, proposed bylaws and permits as well as harbour operations and related items referred to them by Council from time to time.  The Commission is made up of eleven members (one Councillor and ten citizens from the community at large).  Meetings are generally held monthly depending on issues and the Director of Corporate Services and/or the Municipal Building Inspector attend as staff resource.

The Commission meets the 3rd Thursday of every month (excluding July and August) at 5:00 pm at the Municipal Hall. 

Meeting dates for 2010 are:  January 21, February 18, March 18, April 15, May 20, June 17  cancelled, (no meeting July and August) September 16, October 21, November 18, December - no meeting scheduled
